about Shire Marketing

Shire Marketing is me, Brendan Barnhill. I am a digital marketer with 20 years in the trade, and I spent most of them inside large companies before bringing that experience home to the Sutherland Shire.

I started in 2006 as a digital production assistant at a Sydney creative agency. From there I spent five years at Lendlease, one of Australia's largest property groups, moving from global ICT into digital marketing for group corporate affairs. I then ran global digital marketing at Fastway Couriers, now Aramex, for four years, and spent another five leading digital marketing at Furnware Group. Across those roles I managed teams and marketing operations in Australia, New Zealand, Ireland and South Africa.

Digital marketing has been the constant through all of it. I have watched the industry evolve from the early days of websites and email through to search, paid media and AI, and I still get a kick out of the moment a business starts showing up exactly where its customers are looking.

I started Shire Marketing in 2024 to bring that experience to the businesses around me: tradies, medical and allied health practices, and local service businesses across the Sutherland Shire. Most local businesses cannot justify a marketing department. With me they do not need one. You get the strategy and standards of a corporate marketing operation, applied directly to your business, without the payroll. I do the work myself, with trusted specialist contractors for specific deliverables, and I stay accountable for every result.
